Paired with projectors up to 18.5K ANSI Lumens, DepthQ® provides a spectacular 3D experience for screens up to 13.7m (45ft). DepthQ® meets Hollywood’s demanding image quality standards by precisely and efficiently varying the polarity of light passing through it in perfect synch with the “triple-flash” of left and right eye images. An unprecedented symmetrical 50 microsecond switching time between the eyes ensures bright, low-crosstalk operation.

Features include:
  • Bright, low-ghost 3D
  • Crisp, sharp image
  • Heat-tolerant, accepts up to 22K Lumens
  • With 18.5 K lms, 3D screen sizes up to ~13.7 m (45 ft)
  • Simple, easy to setup and use
  • No moving parts - low cost/maintenance
  • Works with all DLP projectors
  • Compatible with standard polarized 3D glasses
  • Two position actuator allows easy switch between 2D and 3D
  • Simple, single-cost business model

The DepthQ® Polarization Modulator is co-developed by Lightspeed Design, Inc and LC-Tec Displays, AB. The two companies have over 18 years of experience in their respective fields of stereoscopic design and liquid crystal manufacturing and development. Lightspeed Design is the exclusive worldwide distributor of the DepthQ® Polarization Modulator.

The system includes the liquid-crystal modulator as well as its control unit, plus hardware which mounts the unit to the front of your projector, and an actuator to move the modulator in and out of the projection path (for switching between 2D and 3D). Sync output from your projector's GPIO port is supplied to the control unit, which then conditions the signal to match the modulator’s required input.

What Source is Required for Nationwide's

3-D Technology?

Mirage HD18K (options):

  • Requires a computer with 3-D Stereoscopic graphics card capable of displaying OpenGL or DirectX quad buffered stereo 3-D content. This must be fed to the projector through a single, Single-Link DVI input. The content must be rendered frame sequentially at 1920x1080P at 60Hz. The content is then frame-doubled internally through the projector. The RGB input can also be used.
  • A video server may also be used provided it can supply the required 1920X108P at 60Hz through a frame sequential signal.

Mirage WU12K-M (options):

  • Requires a computer with 3-D Stereoscopic graphics card capable of displaying a progressive scan of OpenGL or DirectX quad buffered stereo 3-D content.
  • This projector can accept the stereoscopic content through the following inputs via HDMI, DVI or HD-SDI.
    • Two signals at 60Hz (Left & Right). OR
    • Single input, frame sequential at 120Hz. OR
    • Two signals at 30Hz (Left & Right) frame-doubled by the projector. OR
    • Single input at 60Hz (30Hz per eye) frame-doubled by the projector.
  • Blu-Ray 3D video.

Should you have any questions regarding Nationwide Video's 3-D equipment or wish to place an order, please contact any one of our Nationwide Video offices for assistance.

LIGHTSPEED DESIGN, INC. / DEPTHQ® ANNOUNCES 3D PROJECTOR / POLARIZATION MODULATOR BUNDLE

Offer Includes the DepthQ® HDs3D-1 Projector, DepthQ® Polarization Modulator and 5 pair of DepthQ® 3D circular polarized passive glasses.

BELLEVUE, WA – January 26, 2011: Lightspeed Design, Inc./DepthQ® is pleased to announce the limited release of the NEW DepthQ® 3D Projector/Polarization Modulator Bundle.

This limited time offer consists of a DepthQ® HDs3D-1 Projector, a DepthQ® Polarization Modulator (Small Aperture: 2.75x2.51”) and 5 pair of DepthQ® 3D circular polarized passive glasses for a total price of $6500. This is a $2500 discount from the regular price of $9000.

Art Feierman, in his 1/20/11 review for ProjectorReviews.com, said “The overall image performance of the Modulator resulted in a cleaner 3D picture than the other 3D systems we looked at at the same time.” Read Art’s entire review titled “Lightspeed’s 3D DepthQ Polarization Modulator and Their 3D Projector System” at:
http://www.projectorreviews.com/lightspeed/3d-modulator/index.php.

The DepthQ® HDs3D-1 high-definition 3D projector is the 3rd generation of Lightspeed Design's patent-pending portable stereoscopic projectors, offering superior contrast and synchronization for 3D professionals. These projectors leverage nearly two decades of professional 3D knowledge and expertise to deliver the highest-quality, most satisfying and hassle-free 3D experience possible.

New to the HDs3D-1 is higher brightness (2700 lumens in 3D mode), an all-digital HDMI input path for unsurpassed clarity and a specialized 3D image sequence optimized for brighter polarized projection. Additionally, these professional-level 3D projectors can easily display 10 ft (3 m) wide high-definition images using the latest Texas Instruments DLP® and BrilliantColorTM technologies - for wall-filling imagery with stunning colors and a 2100:1 contrast ratio, at a truly unprecedented level of price-performance.

The DepthQ® Polarization Modulator electronically switches the polarization orientation of light passing through it. In combination with a polarization-preserving screen and the DepthQ® HDs3D-1 projector, the modulator enables high-brightness, low-ghost viewing using lightweight & comfortable passive 3D eyewear.

The modulator utilizes a unique combination of separate liquid crystal elements bonded together, enabling both high polarization efficiency over visible wavelengths from 400 to 750 nm (predominantly achromatic spectral response) as well as fast transition switching speeds (0.6ms at room temperature) between polarization states at a frequency of 120Hz. Efficient, high-speed switching between the eyes ensures bright, low-crosstalk, flicker-free operation.

To order now and take advantage of this special bundle pricing, contact Lightspeed at http://www.depthq.com/contact.html, sales@lightspeeddesign.com or call our sales department at +1-206-784-1385. Linear polarization available upon request.
